To fully expand the future value of our company, we are promoting R&D to create new products and new business.
The R&D division at Matsushita Electric Works is making positive strides forward in R&D that will give rise to new products and business. In order to fully achieve future corporate value our company-wide R&D division concentrates on the following:

Promotion of R&D to cultivate new business. |

Cultivation of core technology to lay the seeds that will meet latent market needs. |
| 3. |
Concentration of resources to existing fields that are mature and highly profitable. |
We are taking this all on through a full and consolidated effort. Four divisions, led by the head office, are taking on new business: the IT Division, Elderly & Nursing Division,
Green & Clean Division, and the SRS (Stock Renovate Solution) Division.
Affiliate companies are also delving into new business fields. Furthermore, in order to create new businesses that will reach into society ten years down the road,
we are formulating future-oriented theme strategies geared toward the next generation.
In order to increase the speed of R&D, we are concentrating resources on and promoting the synergistic cooperation between our headquarter-based R&D facilities and those of our affiliates.
At the same time we are actively promoting our worldwide research facilities, joint research with other companies, and the implementation of new technology. |
