| Information you need to know before using the PDTOOL Ver.1.31 (Essential reading) |

PDTOOL (hereinafter referred to as this software) is software that is designed for setting up a 2D Code Reading Sensor PD50.

Before using the PDTOOL be aware of the points listed below.
This software is freeware, of which copyright is owned by Matsushita
Electric Works, Ltd., hereafter called MEW. By using this software
you agree to abide by the "Conditions of Use" put forth

| (1) Read by changing exposure time. |

| 2. Automatic dot setting switch at reading |
| 3. Display of reading results right above the captured image that was saved with the Read Save function |
| 4. Inclusion of the information on header, error correction rate, reading time and product type in the reading results that were saved with the Read Save function |
| 5. Revision history of the setting data at teaching or setting up the PD50. |
| 6. Download of reading data without execution of a teaching operation. |

1.The OUT1 signal and ON of the READY signal is output at the same time.

| How to install PDTOOL Ver.1.30 |

downloads:
If you are having difficulties when downloading,
select "Mirror server" above and then press the download
button once more. This allows you to download the file from
a different server.
Please use Internet Explorer when downloading software. With
Netscape Navigator, downloading may not work properly. If you
are having trouble downloading, please contact our NAIS
FAN customer support system. |

As prompted, indicate the download destination for PDTOOL_Enu_V131.exe
When you have indicated the download destination, click on the
download button. The download will begin. |

When the download is finished, please execute PDTOOL_Enu_V131.exe
Please install the USB driver before executing PDTOOL after installing.
When selecting "Panasonic MEW Vision" > "PD50" from the Windows(R) start menu,
you see "About USB driver" on the monitor.
Read the descriptions on the installation of a USB driver and follow the instruction for your OS to install.
